Purdy brings 25 years of experience in strategic military leadership, having most recently served as Director of Wargames at the U.S. Army War College providing actionable solutions to top national security dilemmas.

background, Purdy will guide clients to strategically activate on their research results. This includes supporting and leading clients to assess impacts, develop business strategies and plan for the future.
In addition, Purdy will direct the company’s dynamic wargaming services, which includes leading the flagship Farmer of the Future Annual Wargame, lending predictive insights on the state of the agri-food system through 2040 and beyond. Aimpoint Research’s wargames are powerful tools providing predictive insights, strategic planning feedback, thought leadership platforms and industry collaboration for clients.

A former Army Colonel and graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Purdy’s vast experiences range from leading combat units to managing multi-billion-dollar security assistance portfolios to directing Strategic Wargame operations at the U.S. Army War College.
Purdy grew up on a farm in central Ohio, where his family raised sheep, corn, soybeans and hay. Purdy continued to leverage his agricultural background when he studied Environmental Engineering at West Point, and he currently remains connected to the family farm. Purdy holds master’s degrees in Strategic Studies and Military Operational Art from the U.S. Army War College and the Air Force University. He and his wife of 21 years, Laurie, live in Lewis Center, Ohio, and have three daughters and a son ranging in ages from 11 to 20.
